WM Police Dept. investigating shooting death of local teen

16- year- old found dead on South Avalon

ralphhardin@gmail.com Exzavion Dent, 16, was killed in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in West Memphis. Police are investigating the homicide.

Witnesses say they heard several gun shots, as many as nine or 10, and saw Dent running through the street near the 700 Block of South Avalon. The victim ended up in the middle of the street, according to police reports. Paramedics arrived on the scene and performed lifesaving procedures, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
