Mayfair coming on down

And then there was one. After a decade spent as a blight and an eyesore on the east end of West Memphis, the condemned Mayfair Apartment Complex has been reduced to a single building by demolition crews. West Memphis has already paid for the second phase of demolition. In April, the City Council authorized the third and final stage of the project, which will raze the property down to the concrete slabs. No word on any future development on the site has been announced.
