WM City Council meeting rescheduled

June 16 meeting pushed back for Municipal League

The West Memphis City Council has rescheduled its second meeting in June.

The City Council normally meets on first and third Thursday each month, but several city officials have seized the opportunity to attend Municipal League meetings in Little Rock that week, and prompting the council to vote to move the meeting date to accommodate the trip. “The meeting was scheduled June 16,” said Johnson May 19. “Do we want to kick it to the 23rd?”

City Council voted unanimously to do just that, granting permission for the date change.

The June 2 meeting, this Thursday, at 1:30 p.m., will still take place as scheduled. The June 23 meeting will also be at 1:30 p.m.
