East Arkansas Family Health Center to host FCMC Lunch-N-Learn

Sleep Disorders to be topic of discussion

Inadequate or improper sleep has been linked to a number of diseases and conditions. Forrest City Medical Center offers a Lunch-n-Learn program that will answer questions you may have concerning sleep disorders, sleep studies and whether or not you would benefit from an evaluation.

Dr. Nizar Issa, Director of the Sleep Lab at Forrest City Medical Center, will present the program and will share how adequate rest is vital to overall health. Dr. Issa will discuss sleep disorders, how they contribute to conditions like diabetes, obesity, heart disease and may even be linked to Alzheimer's disease. He also will share information on sleep studies, how they are scheduled and what is involved.

This upcoming Lunch-n-Learn program on Sleep Disorders will be held on Thursday, June 9, at 12:00 noon at East Arkansas Family Health Center in West Memphis. There is no charge to attend and a light lunch will be served to all registered attendees.
