Our View
How, from where we started, did we wind up here?
It is absolutely disgusting that this country’s moral values have degenerated to the level it has over this transgender issue but, when we learned of federal government directive ordering our public schools to allow these people who were born one way and want to be another into “same-sex restrooms” the time has come for the “normal” majority of citizens to demand this insanity to stop.
We strongly support Gov. Asa Hutchinson who immediately had a strong reaction to the federal directive that said schools currently violate students civil rights by requiring transgender students to use same-sex restrooms. According to the directive, not allowing transgender students to use restrooms according to their sexual identify violates anti-discriminatory laws on the basis of sex.
That is a bunch of malarkey folks, and is almost beyond comprehension that we have political leaders under this socialist president allowing his crony bureaucrats to pull such a stunt.
This completely opens the door to sex perverts preying upon our children and potentially puts these innocent children in harms way.
We predict any and every concerned parent of socalled “normal” children who sit back and allow this immoral activity to occur in the schools will very likely have to deal with a traumatized child who has been fondled or sexually assaulted as a result of this permissive action.
This Obama administration has put out that schools receiving federal money will be forced to follow the “joint guidance” from the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Justice in coming years.
Our governor said the directive is “offensive, intrusive and totally lacking in common sense.”
Hutchinson went on to say there was “no recognizable problem in Arkansas on the issue” and has recommended all state school districts, including West Memphis and Marion, to “disregard the latest attempt at social engineering by the federal government,” and specifically the Obama’s liberal bureaucrats. He also told the districts to continue to use good common sense to ensure a safe and healthy environment in Arkansas schools.
It was encouraging to hear that the Arkansas Senate Republican Caucus unanimously supported Hutchinson’s position. We just wonder why the Arkansas Senate democratic members haven’t come out in support of the governor’s position and why these democratic lawmakers aren’t condemning Obama’s attempt to push his socialistic and liberal belief on Arkansans.
We’re sick and tired of hearing such remarks from the likes of the Arkansas Civil Liberties Union that issued a statement calling the guidelines “a user-friendly guide for schools to make it easier for them to comply with the pre-existing laws and regulations that apply.”
Let’s make it vividly clear that the percentage of these so-called transgender human beings represent less than one percent of the entire population, so why in the hell are we, as a majority of citizens, allowing this disgusting policy directive to alter our lives?
We’ll say it again, this type of destruction action is going to result in some very serious consequences that none of us should have to deal with.
The one piece of advice we can offer at this point is that any parent of a female child had better be prepared to protect that child and go to any length to ensure her safety and well being.
There should be no excuse in our local school districts to allow this to occur in Crittenden County PERIOD!!!!
