Out of the Cotton Fields

The West Memphis cityscape will get a touch-up at the old Spott’s Drug Store building, with a modern style mural. The painting represents the Southern style music coming “out of cotton fields” on a boll weevil, bearing guitar-neck-styled wings flying into the sunset. DeltaARTS gained the approval of the Design & Review Commission for the project, the next in a series of murals around the city celebrating West Memphis’ musical heritage.
