Arkansas State University Degree Center – Offering admission, advising, and scholarship information/assistance for students interested in attending Arkansas State University-Jonesboro on the ASU Mid-South campus. Students can major in Criminology, Business, Nursing, or Education and live locally. • Marion School District School Choice Deadline – Applications to attend a school other than the one the parent lives in must be submitted by May 1 before the year in which the pupil will begin the fall semester and can be obtained at the Marion School superintendent’s office, 200 Manor St., Marion.

• Crittenden County Master Gardeners Scholarship – The Crittenden County Master Gardeners are pleased to award secondary education scholarship annually. These scholarships are funded by CCMG projects conducted throughout the year. Arkansas State University Degree Center – is hosting Arkansas State University Day April 28, 2016, at the ASU Mid-South campus University Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We are offering admission, advising, and financial aid and scholarship information for students interested in attending Arkansas State University-Jonesboro on the ASU Mid-South campus or the main campus. We will have representatives from several academic departments (Criminology, Business, Nursing, or Education), Career Pathways, Arkansas Workforce, and TRIO Educational Opportunity Center. All current and potential students are encouraged to attend. Students can complete their Bachelors and/or nursing degree (RN)and live locally. • Road Kill Report – J. J. Abernathy with Arkansas Game & Fish Commission asks that anyone seeing dead deer call to report at 1-800-4829262 now through May 20th. The agency is testing for chronic wasting disease.

• Water Use Reporting For 2015 – The Crittenden Conservation District is now registering irrigation wells for usage on farms for 2015. As a registered water user you are protecting your rights to the use of an equitable amount of surface water in times of shortage and to establish ground water rights within critical areas. Act of 154 of 1991 requires users of ground and surface water be assessed an annual fee in the amount of $10 per well and relift site. Act 408 of 1989 provides for the collection of a late registration penalty. Any person who fails to register a well or relift site by the deadline shall be subject to a penalty for each year they fail to register. April 1 is $25 late fee. The 4-H Pet Club meets the first Thursday of each month at the Double Tree Stables in West Memphis at 4 p.m. Philadelphia Ministries SEEDS group meet Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
