Times Outdoors Columnist While driving down East Broadway I stopped off at ANN’S to visit with Toby who runs the store to see if there was anything new in outdoors equipment.

Toby was not there and had gone fishing. That’s always a great idea. So I wandered into Jimmy Evans gun store. He was busy cleaning a shotgun that had been sprayed with Fire Clean.

He said it was like someone pouring molasses into the action. It was the worst lubricant he had ever had to clean up. He emphasized do not ever use Fire Clean. He ought to know.

He makes his living taking care of guns.
