2016 Winter Basketball League caps season with postseason tourneys

ralphhardin@gmail.com Last month, the young ladies of the JW Rich Girls Club put the finishing touches on their 2015-2015 Basketball season with a trio of postseason tournaments across the league’s three age divisions.

In the Peewees (ages 5-6), the Labor Ready Celtics took first place. The Celtics were coached by Jay Leger. In second place were the Fenter Physical Therapy Pink Panthers, coached by Heath Jackson. The Panthers were tied in the regular season with the All-Stars, coached by Jessica Ford.

In the tournament, the Celtics once again reigned supreme, besting the All-Stars in the championship game.

In the T-Shirt (ages 7-8) Division, the Allison-Reinke Lady Grizz came out on top. The Grizz were coached by Rob Allison. In second place were the Crittenden County Recycling Grizzlies, coached by Les Wilkerson. Finishing in third place were the Hot Shots, coached by Jessie Lovell, and in fourth place were the Flash Market Dynamite, coached by Nicole Patterson.

In the tournament, the Lady Grizz ran the table, handling the Grizzlies in the finals to take home the championship.

In the Junior (9-12) Division, the CLP Grizzlies, also coached by Les Wilkerson, finished in first place, followed by the second place Lady Razorbacks, coached by Nicole Patterson. The Pizza Pro Shooting Stars, coached by Chris Wilson, finished third. The Lady Tigers, coached by Shelly Hardin, finished fourth.

In the tournament, the Grizzlies took home the title, beating the Lady Razorbacks in the final game.
