news@theeveningtimes.com
Do you like random facts? Are you a trivia buff?
Do you amaze your family when “Jeopardy” comes on?
Well, then you need to be aware of the upcoming DeltaARTS Corporate Trivia Challenge. Your business (or even a group of your friends) can compete in this fun, competitive night while benefiting the imaginative arts education programs of DeltaARTS!
It’s only $600 for a chance to have your team name emblazoned on the coveted traveling winners’ plaque (currently residing at the offices of Crittenden Publishing Company, for the fifth time in eight years).
Also, you’ll get 10 complimentary tickets, so your co- workers, friends and family can cheer you on while taking a chance at winning one of two spirit trophies!
On Monday, Jan. 25, the Kennel Club at Southland Park Gaming & Racing will be full of trash talking, wild guessing, lots of heated discussions and serious competition as Trivia Challenge returns.
A reception for teams and guests begins at 5:30 p.m.
The serious competition starts at 6 p.m. Spectators (a.k.a. cheerleaders) are encouraged to come out and support their favorite team and compete for the Spirit Award.
Tickets for the event will be $5 at the door. All proceeds help support DeltaARTS.
Do you know what NBA All-Star hails from Hamburg, Arkansas? Or what Arkansas native co-starred in “True Grit?” What about which insect can turn its head a full 360 degrees, what animal is the mascot for Bacardi rum, or what Japanese fighting instrument is known as “a sword concealed in hand?” … just some of the questions you might be asked.
Teams interested in entering or anyone wishing to provide a sponsorship should call 732-6260. Visit http://deltaarts.org/community- offerings/trivia/ for more information or to download a registration form.
